History
   Core Universe
Amath's origins are shrouded in mystery. Over 100,000 years ago, at the start of the Matoran Universe's history, he served as a member of the Hand of Artakha and defended the Matoran from threats to their lives and jobs. When the Hand was disbanded, Amath was left without a purpose. His reputation as a hero was overshadowed by the creation of the Toa and he had no desire to live a life of secrecy as the Order of Mata Nui did.
Several millennia later, Amath was recruited into the Dark Hunters and given the codename "Shadow Stealer." On his first mission, he was sent to a location far away from Odina and completed it in mere days when it was meant to last him years. His journey back to Odina was hindered by the intervention of other Dark Hunters, some hired by the Brotherhood of Makuta out of fear of his Shadow-based powers. By the time of the Quest for the Kanohi Ignika, Shadow Stealer had yet to return to Odina.
   Empire of Makuta Universe
As a result of the Makuta taking over Metru Nui and expanding their empire, the Shadowed One realized that Shadow Stealer and his abilities were far too valuable to risk losing him to the Makuta. As a result, he expedited efforts to bring Shadow Stealer back to Odina quicker before assigning him permanently to the island.
At some point, Shadow Stealer was approached by Shikaiju to help her find the hidden island of Okoto and use the Mask of Ultimate Power against the Empire of Makuta. Determined to restore his reputation as a hero, Shadow Stealer agreed to her plan and made preparations to free the Toa of Psionics Varian so that her powers could be used in breaking the Okotan barrier. When a team of Toa -- among them another Psionics type -- were brought to Odina, Shadow Stealer alerted Shikaiju and the Saevta arrived to take the Toa away while Shadow Stealer freed Varian and brought her with him to Okoto.
Once all of the Toa were gathered at the barrier to Okoto, Shadow Stealer informed them of the island's importance and how it could be the key towards ending the Makuta's rule. While initially reluctant, the three Toa of Psionics agreed and used their powers to break down the barrier. Shadow Stealer then wasted no time in scouring the island for the Kanohi Nui, leaving the Toa behind. After retrieving the mask, Shadow Stealer returned to the shore to find Shikaiju and Makuta Teridax waiting for him. Realizing that he had been deceived into helping the Makuta, Shadow Stealer attempted to flee with the mask only for Teridax to grab him with a Shadow Hand and absorb him into his body, ending his life.

History
--
   Empire of Makuta Universe
Sixty thousand years before the Great Cataclysm, the Order of Mata Nui discovered the existence of Okoto, an island at the edge of the universe which contained a Mask of Ultimate Power. Not wanting such a Kanohi to end up in the wrong hands, Helryx had a barrier erected around the island that could only be broken by three Toa of Psionics and destroyed any record of its existence.
When Metru Nui was taken over by the Brotherhood of Makuta shortly after the Great Cataclysm, Helryx began making preparations to take back the Great City. Six months after the Cataclysm, Makuta Teridax was overthrown by the Toa Metru, though this did little to impede the Brotherhood's invasion of the rest of the universe.
Upon receiving word that Voya Nui had broken off from the Southern Continent as a result of the Cataclysm, Helryx brought a team of Order agents with her to investigate. Traveling to Voya Nui, Helryx and her team came upon Brutaka, who had lost his Kanohi Olmak to members of a reformed Hand of Artakha. After locating the Hand's new base of operations, the Order agents stormed the castle and confronted Mallake and his followers. After a brief skirmish, the Hand used the Olmak to retreat from Voya Nui, leaving behind three members whose loyalty had been in question. Helryx and the others then returned to Daxia and had the Hand members imprisoned.
While the Order continued to combat the Brotherhood of Makuta across the universe, Helryx had her agents retrieve the disgraced Toa Lesovikk and placed him in command of a Toa team tasked with capturing Karzahni. The Toa would end up being strayed from their path and inadvertently assisted the rogue Shikaiju in destroying the Okoto barrier. Infuriated, Helryx sent Botar to retrieve the Kanohi Nui, though the Saevta was ultimately killed by Teridax before he could stop the Makuta from taking the mask.

History
   Core Universe
A member of the Morcian race, Brutaka was created by the Great Beings and placed in the Matoran Universe on the island of Morcia. A prominent figure of his people, Brutaka went on to serve as a lieutenant in the Brotherhood of Makuta before being recruited into the secretive Order of Mata Nui. He became good friends with his fellow agent Axonn and the two were late assigned to the village of Voya Nui to guard the Mask of Life.
When the Great Cataclysm occurred, Voya Nui broke off from the rest of the Southern Continent and ended up on the surface of Aqua Magna, where the Great Spirit Robot had crash-landed. Brutaka was shaken by this event and came to the conclusion that the Great Spirit Mata Nui had abandoned his people, despite Axonn's efforts to reassure him. A thousand years later, Brutaka's eroded faith was exploited by the six Piraka when they recruited him in their efforts to steal the Mask of Life. After doing battle with Axonn and the Toa Inika, Brutaka was eventually defeated and taken to the Pit by Botar.
While in the Pit, Brutaka came to regret his actions, realizing that he had been in the wrong. When he learned that the Mask of Life had fallen into the hands of the Barraki, Brutaka attempted to take it back from them only to be dragged away by one of Kalmah's Giant Squids. After escaping, he crossed paths with Makuta Teridax and found him attempting to recreate the Nui Stone with the Staff of Artakha. Quick to intervene, Brutaka took the staff from Teridax and summoned Botar to take it away before doing battle with the Makuta. Their duel came to an end when Brutaka informed Teridax of the Mask of Life's location, forcing the Makuta to break off from the fight.
As repayment for his efforts against Teridax's schemes, Brutaka was rescued by the Order of Mata Nui and made a probationary member of the Order. Traveling to Metru Nui with Helryx, Brutaka captured the Dark Hunter Dweller and used his Kanohi Olmak to send Toa Takanuva to Karda Nui. Brutaka would later lead a team of ex-prisoners of the Order to rescue Makuta Miserix, former leader of the Brotherhood, to aid them in the fight against the Makuta. After a treacherous and near-suicidal mission, Brutaka's team succeeded in liberating Miserix from the island of Artidax and brought him back to Daxia.
Not long after, the Order decided to come out of hiding to wage their war against the Brotherhood of Makuta. Rejoining his old friend Axonn, Brutaka traveled to Zakaz to convince the Skakdi warlords to join forces with the Order. They then traveled to the Southern Islands to find and destroy the pool of Antidermis that the Makuta were created from. Before they could do so, the pool exploded and the two fell into it. This resulted in Brutaka's body becoming greatly enhanced from the effects of Antidermis, as well as gaining the powers of a Makuta and a mental link with the Antidermis itself. Realizing what the full extent of Teridax's plan was, Brutaka used his mask to transport him and Axonn to the Great Spirit Robot's Core Processor, where they found the Toa Hagah, Helryx, and others. Before the group could do anything to stop Teridax from taking over the Matoran Universe, Teridax himself teleported Brutaka, Axonn, and Keetongu to the edge of the universe, though not before destroying Brutaka's Olmak to prevent him from escaping.
After escaping from the Southern Islands, Brutaka used his new powers to transport himself and Axonn back to the Core Processor, where another party of beings was gathered. The room soon became divided as to whether they should destroy the Core Processor or to allow the Great Spirit Robot to continue functioning, of which Brutaka took the latter stance. Before a decision could be reached, Teridax teleported all of them out of the robot and into deep space. They were then rescued by Vezon, using his own Kanohi Olmak, and brought into the fortress of a cursed Great Being on Bota Magna. As the group debated whether or not to free the Great Being, the fortress was rigged by the disguised Great Being Velika in the hopes of killing them all.
   Empire of Makuta Universe
Six months after the Great Cataclysm, Brutaka was attacked by members of the reformed Hand of Artakha, who swiftly defeated him and stole his Kanohi Olmak. After being found by Helryx and other Order agents, Brutaka informed them of what had happened before heading to the Hand of Artakha's new base of operations. After a quick skirmish, the Hand of Artakha transported themselves away with the Kanohi Olmak, leaving a maskless Brutaka and the others behind.
After the Hand's failed invasion of Artakha and battle with the Brotherhood of Makuta, Botar captured their members and confiscated the Kanohi Olmak, returning it to Brutaka.

Tobduk
Information
    Kanohi: Sanok (Accuracy)
    Tools: Staff, dagger
    Affiliation: Order of Mata Nui
History
The being who would become known as Tobduk lived on the island of Visorak along with his fellow Korvis. Around 75,000 years ago, Makuta Chirox created the Visorak species and unleashed the Rahi spiders on the island for which they were named. The Korvis' village was destroyed and only a handful of survivors managed to escape, traveling to Stelt. One of them was eventually recruited into the Order of Mata Nui and given the name "Tobduk," the Matoran word for "survivor."
Working as an assassin for the Order, Tobduk was placed in charge of the operation to eliminate anyone who knew of the location of Artakha and arranged for the deaths of several individuals, including some of Tobduk's own teammates. He also created a virus that killed Makuta Kojol, who had led the raid on Artakha that had prompted the operation in the first place.
During the Destiny War, Tobduk was left in charge of Daxia while Helryx was away on duty. He recruited the Ko-Matoran agent Mazeka to accompany him to Destral where they infiltrated the Makuta's fortress. While Mazeka dealt with the Skakdi Vezon, Tobduk attacked and killed Makuta Tridax. He then gave Mazeka directions to Karda Nui, where the Ko-Matoran's rival Vultraz had gone.
    Empire of Makuta Universe
Seven months after the Great Cataclysm, Tobduk participated in an attack on Brotherhood of Makuta operations on the Northern Continent, slaughtering several Visorak and killing Makuta Nathuz.
After accompanying Helryx to a meeting with the Dark Hunters, he took part in the Battle for Metru Nui, during which he killed Tridax and several other Makuta stationed on Destral, eventually securing control of the island for the Order.

History
    Core Universe
Created as a member of the Tirivon species, Trinuma was recruited into the Order of Mata Nui.
At some point, Trinuma was tasked with relocating some of the Order's artifacts from Daxia to a remote island, using the Kanohi Olmak to do this. However, the Olmak was stolen by Gaardus and delivered to Makuta Tridax.
Five hundred years after the Great Cataclysm, Trinuma and Tobduk were sent to retrieve a tablet that compromised the Order's secrecy after a deranged Shallows Cat had killed the Maxilos unit that had been carrying it.
A thousand years after the Great Cataclysm, Trinuma was present when the Toa Nuva were brought to Daxia to use the Staff of Artakha. He later accompanied Botar to Xia so they could pick up a cache of weapons and rendezvous with Brutaka's team. However, they were attacked by Makuta Icarax and Botar was killed in the process. Surviving the encounter, Trinuma managed to deliver the weapons to Brutaka's team before returning to Daxia. During the war against the Brotherhood of Makuta, Trinuma brought Vezon with him on a mission to infiltrate Destral and sabotage the Brotherhood's teleportation device.
After Makuta Teridax took over the Matoran Universe, Daxia was destroyed and many of the Order's members were killed. The surviving Trinuma made it to Stelt and inform the Toa Nuva that he and other members of the Order had managed to survive.
    Empire of Makuta Universe
Six months after the Great Cataclysm, Trinuma reported to Helryx that Voya Nui had broken off from the Southern Continent. After Helryx and her team returned to Daxia with captured members of the Hand of Artakha, Trinuma spoke with the captive Turaga Mathus in his cell.
The following month, Trinuma and Tobduk led the Order's forces to the Northern Continent to fight against Makuta Nathuz and his forces. He later took part in the Battle for Metru Nui and escorted Macku and Kongu from Destral after they had managed to escape captivity.
