History
Created as a Po-Matoran, Ahkmou was placed on the island of Metru Nui, living in Po-Metru with his fellow Po-Matoran. He had a bitter rivalry with Onewa, whom Ahkmou deeply resented.
As one of the six Matoran who knew the location of the Great Disks, Ahkmou was tracked down by the Dark Hunter Nidhiki, who convinced the Po-Matoran to help him obtain the disks. To this end, Ahkmou gave Nidhiki the names of the other five Matoran and helped the Dark Hunter set up traps for them. However, they were ultimately rescued by the newly-made Toa Metru and Ahkmou was forced to keep quiet when he was "rescued" from a fake predicament by Toa Onewa, though the newly-made Toa of Stone had his suspicions of Ahkmou's true loyalties. Ahkmou and the other five Matoran accompanied the Toa Metru on their quest to find the Great Disks and bring an end to the Morbuzakh plant that had been terrorizing Metru Nui.
Not long after the defeat of the Morbuzakh, Ahkmou and the other Matoran were lured to the Coliseum by Turaga Dume, who was in fact Makuta Teridax in disguise, and placed in Matoran Spheres. Makuta planned to use the spheres to wipe the Matoran's memories before reawakening them, proclaiming himself as their benevolent ruler. While this plan was ultimately thwarted by the Toa Metru, it did not prevent the Great Cataclysm brought about by Makuta casting the Great Spirit Mata Nui into a deep slumber which left Metru Nui in ruins. Forced to relocate in search of a new home for the Matoran, the Toa Metru carried the spheres containing Ahkmou and the other Matoran in the tunnels leading out of Metru Nui's dome. During their journey, they were attacked by Rahi and Ahkmou's sphere was lost in the chaos.
Ahkmou's sphere would later be found by Makuta after he had been freed from the prison the Toa Metru had put him in. Reawakening the Po-Matoran, Makuta told him that the Toa had deliberately abandoned him. He then tasked Ahkmou with infiltrating the new society the Toa Metru had created for the Matoran on the island of Mata Nui. Working as a trader, Ahkmou frequently attempted to sell bogus items to his fellow Po-Matoran, with Turaga Onewa having to constantly shut down his operations. After the arrival of the Toa Mata, Ahkmou sold Kolhii balls that had been infected by Makuta, making several Po-Matoran sick. After the Chronicler Takua uncovered his scheme, Ahkmou hastily closed up shop and fled from Po-Koro.
Ahkmou would later return to Metru Nui upon the Great City's rediscovery. When Makuta Teridax took over the Matoran Universe, he appointed Ahkmou as "Turaga" of Metru Nui and charged him with overseeing the City of Legends. After Makuta's reign was brought to an end, Ahkmou migrated to the restored Spherus Magna and attempted to ingratiate himself to the native Agori and Glatorian.
    Empire of Makuta Alternate Universe
In this alternate universe, Ahkmou was among the six Matoran chosen by Toa Lhikan to serve as Metru Nui's new Toa defenders. However, these new Toa Metru often clashed with one another and it was due to their inability to work together that they failed to defeat Makuta Teridax during the Great Cataclysm. This resulted in the Brotherhood of Makuta conquering Metru Nui and using it as the staging ground for their Empire. Ashamed by their failure, the Toa Metru went into hiding. Six months later, the Toa Metru were roused out of hiding to move against the Makuta. With the help of Ahkmou's Mask of Translation, they convinced the Rahi into helping them strike the Coliseum. Overwhelmed by this newly-formed resistance, Makuta fled from Metru Nui, ending his reign of terror.
The following month, Ahkmou and his teammates were sent on a quest to find the Toa of Light. Unbeknownst to the other Toa, Ahkmou had betrayed them to the Brotherhood of Makuta, seeing them as the only rightful body of power in absence of the Great Spirit. When the Toa Metru set out on their quest, Ahkmou sent a message to the Brotherhood who sent the hunter Umarak to retrieve the Mask of Light. In the fight that ensued, Ahkmou drowned Toa Tehutti and helped Umarak defeat the remaining Toa and acquire the Kanohi Avohkii. However, to Ahkmou's shock, Umarak refused to take the treacherous Toa with him back to Destral and left him behind with the remaining Toa. Ahkmou was then sent flying into the Silver Sea by Toa Orkahm.
Abilities and Traits
    Masks and Tools
As a Matoran, Ahkmou wore a powerless Kanohi Rau. In the Empire of Makuta Alternate Universe, this became a Great Mask of Translation when he was transformed into a Toa of Stone.

History
Created as a Le-Matoran, Orkahm was placed on the island of Metru Nui, living in Le-Metru. He was rivals with his fellow Le-Matoran Matau.
As one of the six Matoran who knew the location of the Great Disks, Orkahm was sought out by Matau after the latter became a Toa. Unbeknownst to either of them, the Po-Matoran Ahkmou had sold out Orkahm and the other Great Disk Matoran to the Dark Hunters Nidhiki and Krekka and Toa Matau was forced to rescue Orkahm from a tangle of transport cables that the Dark Hunters had ensnared him in. Later, Orkahm and the other five Matoran accompanied the Toa Metru on their quest to find the Great Disks and bring an end to the Morbuzakh plant that had been terrorizing Metru Nui.
Not long after the defeat of the Morbuzakh, Orkahm and the other Matoran were lured to the Coliseum by Turaga Dume, who was in fact Makuta Teridax in disguise, and placed in Matoran Spheres. Forced to relocate in search of a new home for the Matoran, the Toa Metru carried the spheres containing Orkahm and the other Matoran in the tunnels leading out of Metru Nui's dome. Upon arriving on the island of Mata Nui, Orkahm was freed from his sphere, although his memories of Metru Nui had been erased and his body greatly downsized.
After the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal, Orkahm and his fellow Le-Matoran Tamaru were flying through Le-Wahi when they were attacked by a strange Rahi, which was secretly Makuta in disguise. They were rescued by Toa Nuva Lewa who, with their help, successfully drove the Makuta-Nui creature into Mata Nui's wilderness. Upon the rediscovery of Metru Nui, Orkahm and the Matoran returned to the City of Legends. Following Makuta's reign as the Great Spirit and the subsequent Battle of Bara Magna, Orkahm migrated to the restored Spherus Magna.
    Empire of Makuta Universe
In this alternate universe, Orkahm was selected to become the Toa Metru of Air instead of Matau. Because of their clashing personalities, the Toa Metru of this universe failed to stop Makuta Teridax from taking over Metru Nui and were forced to go into hiding. Six months later, they were rallied by Turaga Lhikan and a team of Matoran resistance fighters to come out of hiding and take a stand against Makuta. With the help of Krahka and the Rahi, Orkahm and his teammates succeeded in defeating Makuta and liberating Metru Nui from his tyranny.
The following month, Turaga Dume sent the Toa Metru and the Rahaga on a quest to find the Toa of Light. As they crossed the Silver Sea towards the gate to Karzahni, their ship was attacked by the Shadow Hunter Umarak and most of the Toa Metru were killed, leaving Orkahm and Vhisola as the only survivors. Upon arriving at Karzahni, Orkahm and Vhisola faced off against Karzahni's Manas guards only to be defeated and captured by the Rahi.

History
Created as a Ta-Matoran, Dezalk lived in a region with other Matoran until he was sent to Karzahni after sustaining a major injury. Rebuilt into a smaller and weaker form, Dezalk was subsequently shipped off to the Southern Continent, where he lived in the Voya Nui region with other "repaired" Matoran. When the Great Cataclysm occurred, Voya Nui broke off from the rest of the continent and ended up on the surface of Aqua Magna.
A thousand years later, Dezalk was among the Matoran whom the Piraka enslaved with their Zamor Spheres.
    Empire of Makuta Universe
Six months after the Great Cataclysm, Dezalk joined a team of Matoran in search of Garan and other missing Matoran. This led them into discovering the Hand of Artakha and witnessing a clash between them and the Order of Mata Nui. After the Hand was defeated, Dezalk and the other Matoran returned to their village.

History
   Core Universe
Velika was created by the Great Beings and tasked with the construction of the Matoran Universe. Afterwards, he was placed on the Northern Continent where he lived among other Matoran. Shortly before the Great Spirit Robot departed, however, one of the Great Beings transferred his consciousness into Velika so that he could monitor the events of the Matoran Universe, maintaining contact with his agents on Spherus Magna. At some point, the Great Being posing as Velika tampered with the population's artificial intelligence, granting them complete sapience.
At an undetermined point in time, Velika suffered an injury which led to him being sent to the mad tyrant Karzahni, who rebuilt him in a crude, weaker form. Disgruntled with his inadequate work, Karzahni sent Velika and the other Matoran to the Southern Continent, where they lived in the region known as Voya Nui.
   Empire of Makuta Universe
In this universe, the Great Being never transferred his consciousness into Velika and the Po-Matoran lived a normal life up until being sent to Karzahni and ending up on Voya Nui.
