   Created from the DNA of the late Emperor Palpatine, the clone known as Ethril was created by Atha Prime to serve as the ruler of the Dark Empire. However, the clone quickly developed an independent personality and fled from Byss, finding refuge on the nearby Deep Core planet of Tython -- the origin world of the Jedi Order. Shortly after his arrival, he was found by the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and his friend Han Solo. Driven mad by the sight of Skywalker's visage, Ethril attacked them and, while he was able to bring down Skywalker, he underestimated the Corellian scoundrel, who easily shot him in the back, killing him.
